When eveything is down

The darkness swept in with the wind and came walking down our street again
The power ran all the way to the end
And passed us by
The clocks had stopped along with the incandescence's hum
Not asking why, we continued on.

Because we know everything is down again
Were back at that place in the darkness where love is best left to grow
Besides the heat of a fire, basking in its primordial glow
Is where I find you
When every thing is down

The utilities will scream blood and murder while the networks all die without A sound
Below the moonlight I know people think that we have hitched a ride to Our doom.
But by the Stars that I see, and you in my arms we can find the best of What's left around
Knowing that this will be over much too soon, I will find you
When everything is down.

Call the winter

In the paddock
Heel deep in wood chips
Down the season
During the rain

I have to confess
That if I had not acted
as I thought best
we might not have seen
our hampered rest

In the high loft
Wrapped in blankets
such strange music
I get taken
And beat on wings
to your fettered breasts

Darkened daylight
Round and looming
Could not contain me
as would your shadowed skin

Rain and hay
Open barn doors
Call the winter
And let contentment in.

Been made Mercury

The fog makes me sleepy but I have to keep driving.

There’s an outside world that surrounds my car.

After the next bank, if not then somewhere on the invisible Horizon.

It is all that stands in place between you and I. I am turning with my odometer and I hope I don’t pass it by.
Through broken field and runway lights and whole crops laid flat I come, out of the moisture of the night with the speed of a bullet from a gun.

I have been made mercury and the road has given me presence. And cupid fills my back seat so there's no room to rest in the present.

All that there is, is all that is before me and I look on it as gold. And you at the end of it.

That in itself drives me for you to have and to hold.

Winter has come and will push it's way on to spring. And once again we find ourselves arriving on Christmas Eve.

If you cant remember all those you love, think of those you miss the most.

And in the breadth of the evening celebrate those you have close.

Spend the time recalling the year and all that you have done.

Then let that love follow you on in the safety and shelter when you find yourself a bed

Come the morning and the mass

Sunlight as your crown will Adorne your sleeping head.
